Remembering Merriam Street

September 8, 2011
As of  this writing…Most of Merriam Street from North Avenue (Rt. 117) to Silver Hill Bridge has been paved! The sidewalk is next to be completed. Also, the old, rusty, bent, guard rail running down hill from the bridge has been replaced with an attractive new one. (If guard rails can be attractive.
After looking at the last one for so many years…I say… Yes!).

The old guardrails on Merriam Street. I can almost see the Silver Hill Boys jumping over it now!

When visiting, please be aware of road and sidewalk paving taking place in the Silver Hill part of town. Enjoy your visit! Be sure to contact us if you desire a guided tour in our SILVER PT Cruiser. Most locations mentioned in The Book. Approx. 90 minutes. Along the way, enjoy Peter’s famous Tuna Sandwich!

Have a Great September 2011 !!!
Joe
