Look carefully and you’ll see Silver Hill Bridge in the background. The train is heading west and will soon pass the green signal light, then fade off to the right on it’s way into Lincoln, MA.   If you’ve read The Silver Hill Boys and the Secret Railroad Club, you’ll know why we’re all very excited over this photo!     The beautiful styling of this locomotive type is as appealing & impressive now as it was in 50’s/60’s , when they were commonplace. Design evoked sensation of a powerful & advanced industrial nation on the move – always FORWARD ! And so it was…
